Elizabeth leaned back pushing the book on the table as she moved over toward the window more. "I see.." She spoke with a sudden hollow feeling to her voice. A myth killed my best friend? I know what I saw six years ago. Vampires exist. I haven't wasted my life to find a forsaken creature that doesn't even exsist.. She thought bitterly with her hands clinched into fist on her lap.
"You're good at hiding things, aren't you? Secrets seem to be your specialty." Elizabeth spoke with the same hollowness to her voice as she looked out at the rain seeing thunder hit against the ground. Her hand touched the table as if for support. "Never mind what I just said. I was talking to myself, again." She was lying to Violet, but it was a believable lie compared to everything else that had happened today.
Her pale hands came to the drink as she took her first sip. She realized how dry her throat was at that moment. Then she set it back down swiping a napkin from the table and whipping the bits of cream off her lips. She looked so elegant for someone of this time-era.

, exactly? Me. And my acting. She's got skill. Violet raised her cup and rested the plastic base on her forehead, easing the burning aching that rested within her freshly made bruise. Violet wasn't, per to say, a klutz or anything, so she would have to make up a story on this bruise, and another thing, her withered paper-cut. But excuses never seemed to work with Olivia or Violet's mom, so Violet made a personal memo to go to her dad first before anyone asked about her bruise and cut. She set the cup at eye-level, sipping the straw with her thin, but lush lips. She needed a quick sip before she spoke to Elizabeth again about whatever Violet was hiding. Even though Elizabeth took it back as reassured that it was just the voices in her head, Violet didn't feel so sure on trusting her with the truth, that first of all, she wasn't hiding. Violet wasn't hiding anything. There was nothing to hide! Some humans were born as stupid as they are now, and some humans can't see the obvious signs around them, especially the idiots living in the big ripped vortex of all myths, Washington! "Well then," Violet started, setting down her cup on the same spot that had a wet ring. She sounded overly formal and proper this time, and as Violet fidgeted to sit like it, it set off an aura that it was time to speak up. Both of them. Now. "If you're not asking me what I'm hiding, but rather you're talking to yourself..." Violet paused with a dark grin curling up on her face, her chin resting on her hands while her elbows were resting on the table, so Violet can stare down Elizabeth in the eyes like the people do so easily to suspects on television shows. "...then what are you hiding?"[/ul]

Elizabeth giggled at Violet's sudden formal ways as she glanced back. She had allowed almost all emotion to leak from her face as she set her elbow on the table top. She pointed her wrist back toward her neck and set her chin on the top of her hand.
Her hollowed eyes looked at Violet as she spoke in a tone much more dark and mysterious. "If I told you, I wouldn't be a master at hiding it, now would I, Miss Violet?" She said with a triumphant gaze. "However, you do not believe in the myths that happened to bring me to this town, now do you?"
That's when her eyes allowed an emotion of her to fill them. She closed her eyes and pulled her elbow off the table leaning back again. She set there as if waiting for Violet to respond to her.
"Vampires are as real as you and I, Elizabeth!" "How can you just say that so simply?" "Because, I'm in love with one. Shh, don't tell." "Pinky swear, Hehe. Can I meet him?" "Yep! I'll bring you up to his castle tomorrow."
It's my curiosity that brought upon my best friend's demise, and yet here I stand because of that angelic voice..and those arms..they pulled me up from the group of blood seekers and then spoke gently to me, yet harshly and with great authority to the others. Then..as I cried myself to sleep, they carried me home and brought the remains for a funeral..
Her hand come over her mouth as she lowered her head so her bangs fell enough to darken her eyes from view. If you cry, Elizabeth, I'll kill you.. She thought to herself with a smug grin. Her hand fell as she spoke,"Answer."

Violet's eyebrow raised in interest rather than confusion, though the emotions were mildly mixed together. Violet let her continue before she responded in anyway. "However, you do not believe in the myths that happened to bring me to this town, now do you?"Watching Elizabeth lean back and think to herself, Violet was grateful for the few moments Elizabeth gave her to rethink everything she had said. What was Elizabeth hiding, anyways? Why does she assume I'm also hiding something? Well, truth be told, I'm hiding Olivia from here now, because I really can't trust her... Violet's eyes darted toward the book that sat neglected on their table away from their drinks and chairs. ...because of her odd liking to vampire-based books. So... then Elizabeth must be tied in with vampires, and knew that Forks had some vampire lurking around... So why is Elizabeth looking for vampires--?"Answer."Violet leaned back, startled by her break of time. She tried to rethink the question within two seconds, and managed to think up something that one, didn't give her or Olivia away; and two, was the question Violet wished to know at the very beginning when she first saw that book. "What are you hunting for, Elizabeth?"[/ul]

Elizabeth looked at Violet pretending to be surprised as she asked,"Hunting? You don't understand. I'm searching, not hunting for something more in this world." She was lying, but it looked believable as she continued, "I want to know that there is something more to this life, and I won't know that if everyone wants to hide the truth from me.."
She scared herself for a moment as she rethought what she had just said. Parts were true. She did want to know that there was something more to this life she had been forced to life, but she was searching for something as well. Something she didn't fully understand.
"If you think that this book alone makes me a lover of fantasy, you should have met my family." She said knowing that might calm Violet down. Elizabeth felt a peg of guilt for lying so much, but in her line of work, lies saved the world. She deceived people, yet held a promise to save the world.

This velvet-like sympathy was stabbed with something sharp and cold. "Wait, then why did you come to Forks?"[/ul]

"There were quite a few reasons really. One, was the fact that this place barely changed from how it used to be. Two, I love the rain and this place has just enough of it. Plus it also has many plants, and no huge factories. And Three, the myths brought me here. I had heard rumors of creatures with pale skin, but then I realized they were walking about in the daytime so I gave up on the hopes of finding real vampires in this town." She spoke the words with perfect acting skills as she sighed with a false disappointment.
"It doesn't matter why I came here, but I'm glad I did." Elizabeth said looking up at Violet,"Because I guess I have a friend now, or am I mistaken?" She looked toward the rain again with the last sentence. Guilt might change the conversation, so Elizabeth tried that.

Violet chuckled, wiggling her straw with her index finger and thumb, her eyes focused on the movement. It may have looked as if Violet was playing cool or something but she wasn't; she was curious. "I'll be your friend if you'll be mine. Simple as that! But of course, I wanna know a little more about my new friend," Violet paused as she took her hand and waved it in the air, dismissing the subject with a final closing, "so don't mind me. If I ask you a question, you can ask me any question you want."Violet giggled as she pulled out her straw, and sucked on the end that was coated in silky whipped cream. When she popped it out of her mouth and slid it back into the plastic dome protecting the stuff inside the cup, Violet was ready to ask a question. "What school do you go to?"[/ul]

Elizabeth had cut the act when the next question popped out at her. "Forks High School, and you?" It was common to ask the other person the same question, but rarely had Elizabeth ever been asked a question that she didn't ask the other person first. It was strange to be the one answering then asking.
I wonder if the rain will stop before we leave.. She thought then looked down at her drink that she barely touched. She picked it up and drank some more. It was heaven against her dry throat and that made this interrogation even less painful since she could speak.
Her emerald eyes glanced toward Violet as she still had the straw between her lips taking in more of this amazing type of drink. She may even become addicted to the taste just as Violet had, but that wasn't of importance at the moment. She set it down taking a deep breath then exhaling as if calming herself.

Violet exclaimed, taking a deep and warm swig of her drink. The hints of coffee made her body shudder with delight and she felt a moment of hyperactive spazzing come into play, but she prevented it by pinching her leg. No need to spazz out by a little coffee. "My turn again," she said tapping her fingers on the table. She searched her brain for some questions she wanted to ask. The first one she could find was the first to come out of her mouth. "Where did you used to live?"[/ul]

Elizabeth thought a moment as she opened her mouth.
"She Kept All The Pain Inside. Now She's Got Nothing To Hide. At Such A Young Age She Took Her Li-"
Her hands shot down as she pulled a black razor from her pocket flipping it open and taking the call quickly. "Hello?" She spoke in a irritated tone. Her emerald eyes widened as she glanced at the rain. The thunder cracked in the sky. "Right now?" She bit down on her lip as she stood up. "Yes, Sir. Right Away, Sir." She closed the phone then glanced toward the ground.
"I had a lovely time, Miss Violet. Unfortunately something has come up. I have to leave. Thank you for taking me here. I'll see you at school." Her voice showed no enthusiasm as she turned quickly walking across the tile. Her hand was clinched tightly as she shoved the phone back in her pocket.
She grabbed her red jacket and didn't bother putting it on as she ran out into the storming weather. Elizabeth didn't even wait for Violet to say another word. She didn't want to talk as her thoughts began to race.
Another attack against a Caster, he wants Elizabeth Garnet of all people to be careful? What a joke..
