Violet said, reality crashing back onto her. She stepped back and leaned against another bookcase decorated with picture books of unicorns and faeries and nymphs and so on. Violet examined her finger that she sliced on something sharp within the bookcase. Violet stuck her finger in her mouth and tried to calm the pain rushing through her fingertips. She managed to mumble out her explanation to Elizabeth. "..I pricked my finger...sorry."Violet looked into the bookcase to see what she pricked her finger on. Turns out it was a small design on a book, a metallic silver rose on the cover that was actually real. It's sides were jagged and it had rust on some sides. Violet grimaced but sighed in relief when she looked at the name--the last book on the list. "Yes!" she whispered loudly, trying to show too much enthusiasm over a book that already made her bleed. "'Silver Roses', the last stupid book on the list!"[/ul]

Elizabeth then released a sigh. At least this girl isn't a vampire, I thought as much. She smiled to herself the glanced at Violet. "Would you like for me to get you a bandage for your finger?" She asked trying to sound reasonable in all of the madness running through her own head.
She still held Violet's-well Olivia's books- as she walked from the shelf she had been standing at. "Silver Roses?" She asked silently as if to herself. The cover was beautiful within her eyes as she wanted to read the book herself. It must be one of the older books here. She thought silently this time.

Violet laughed under her breath as she wiggled her withered finger in front of Elizabeth's face, her finger wrinkled from Violet sucking it, the cut letting loose a lighter amount of blood. "What? You don't want to kiss it better?" she joked, popping her finger back in her mouth as she set the book on top of the stack of books Elizabeth held for Violet. Grateful, Violet used her free arm to scoop up the books from Elizabeth's arm, and set it against her chest and her arm. "No, seriously, I'm fine. I just gotta pay for these books and get a Frappichino or something..." Violet dumped the books carefully on the desk in front of the elderly woman who was reading her own novel. Smiling warmly, the old woman rang up the price of the books on her piece of junk that was suppose to be a cashier box. Violet dug in her pocket for the $50 bill Olivia gave her to pay for the books, and sighed. When the books were payed for, Violet wiped her saliva-coated finger on her bare legs and examined it. It looked like it was done bleeding for now, but it still stung. Violet grabbed the bag the woman put the books in and held it on her arm, her eyes back to Elizabeth. "I'm sorry, I was just about to steal you away from your shopping here...I could either wait for you to get what you wanted here, or meet you back at Starbucks..." her eyes dimmed on Elizabeth, a serious look on her face. "If you actually want to grab a coffee with me. You never answered me if you wanted to come."[/ul]

Elizabeth once more took a moment to take in everything. She had followed Violet to the front desk and then listened to her question. "Coffee?" She asked slightly. Oh no. That's something normal people drink for energy. Umm..it has caffeine. Like that potion we made in class one day. She thought quickly.
"Of course, just tell me what's good in this town." She tried to sound innocent with her reply. She didn't say that coffee would make her pass out or one of her other thoughts of this strange brown elixir that people drank like a baby did attention.
She then quickly smiled once more sitting an old book on the table. It was a very old one that was written by a so-called madman about vampires. She thought it might be good to study all the myths completely and try to pull the truth from the lies in her search.

Violet said, sounding teasingly disappointed as she wiggled her other finger around in a clock's chime motion. "You must not be from around here, then, huh? Forks' Starbucks' coffee is the best you'll ever taste, and at the best prices you'll ever find. Plus, they offer a better variety toward what you buy there. Pastries, candy, cookies and brownies and etc., etc. ... I'm not much of a coffee-drinker myself, but I can't resist their Double Chocolate Frappichinoes! They're to die for..."Violet paused her babbling speech as she leaned over Elizabeth's shoulder in pure curiosity; to see what she was purchasing. Violet felt a rush in her blood when she saw the book and what it was about with the cover's look. What would Elizabeth be doing buying a vampire book? Violet gasped in her mind. Is she just the type to be into that mythical crap, or in the spirit for Halloween?! Oh...my head aches..."Ah, so you're mythical-freak like Olivia? Looks like you two would be the best of friends," Violet said, making sure she sounded teasingly and playfully when she said 'mythical-freak', showing that she didn't mean any harm.[/ul]

Elizabeth allowed the playful smile to cross her lips as Violet noticed her book. She waited for the next sentence about the book and smiled even more. "I need to know how to beat the little monsters from my door step." She said with a slight giggled then waved her hand a bit. "Joking."
Her hand reached into her pocket as she pulled out a small leather wallet. It was strange, but she didn't carry her money in a pretty little purse or anything instead it was just a wallet that happened to be water proof and fire proof. She was given it when she first joined the academy. This kept her lunch money safe from spells when she didn't have time to protect it.
She quickly handed the sum of the books toward the older woman, who just as she had for Violet, smiled widely. Elizabeth couldn't help but smile back. "Thank you very much, Ma'am." She said politely but the woman quickly spoke,"No thank you girls, business is always a pleasure. Enjoy your books."
Elizabeth nodded then followed Violet. Her clothes had slightly dried from being inside, but she was still wet. Her right hand held the bag with a single book on vampires for that was her better hand. "What you said before is true, I moved to Forks about a week ago." She said softly. "Anyways, Just lead the way to your coffee, Violet." That was the first time she had spoken this new friend's name, if they were really friends that is.

Violet shut her eyes closed tight, and shook her head rapidly to rid the thoughts of a simple human like Elizabeth know anything about vampires. By the time Violet opened her eyes, she tried to smile as hard as she could, pivoting on her heels and pushing the door open. "Sorry, flash-headache," she explained as she walked outside, holding the door with one hand so it wouldn't slam on Elizabeth as they made their way out into the misty rain. "Well, c'mon. Starbucks is on the next block... Let's try to beat the next hard rainfall and enjoy the sprinkling..."[/ul]

Elizabeth nodded behind Violet. She wondered to herself, Has she realized my obsession already? Maybe I'll confess to it sooner or later. Her hands quickly made sure the book was covered completely by the plastic bag as she held it close to her chest.
"I love this town's weather. The rain is so amazing. I came from a place were rain was rare." She spoke giggling as she walked briskly in the rain. Her head tilted back slightly as she let some of the sprinkling rain fall on her face. Her emerald eyes them looked toward Violet as she pulled her head back down to leave and began to follow.
I wounder if I will find any other hunters here. Are there any warlocks or witches already in Forks, who have done their research, to learn that this is a perfect place for vampires to be? She thought to herself, but then shook the thought. She was suppose to be human, or at least pretend to be human, but something was pulling at her. This town was slightly familiar to her as if she had journeyed here before it was covered with so many little shops. I might have to do some more research later..
