HISTORY;; Born to parents unknown and clan unknown has always tore a big, gapping hole in her life. Yoko doesn't know who she is, or who she belongs to, or if she has any bloodties with anyone. The only memories of growing up is living in an orphanage until she turned ten, then escaped and began to linger around the town, forest, and riverside. She was a homeless and stole food from the marketplace and windowsills, or caught fish and picked berries when in season. But sometimes, she went on for days without any food. She lived like this for about a year and three quarters. And this was all she knew:
Her name was Yoko, meaning sun child.
She had chestnut-brown hair, and mud brown eyes.
She had no family, or clan. No real friends.
And, all she had with her (besides the clothes on her back) were the black markings on her back.
One day, she wandered away from the small town she lived in, and made her way to the Fire Country. There, she was arrested for stealing food and clothing. Yoko made an escape from the police and hid in the lengthy forest. Two days after, they recaptured her. She fought them, with a series of blows and kicks, but was losing. It began to pour rain, thunder, and lightning. And then...something happened. Her body shook violently and her sight went all yellow and black. Before she knew it she was running around and shocking her victims until they stopped moving.
Lightning powers?
Terrified, Yoko ran away and hid in the Rice Country. She lived in an abandoned home for a few months, actually taking up work as a deliver of letters, packages, and so on. With honesty, Yoko did steal a few things from the packages, saying that it was like it when she got it, or when someone asked her why they didn’t get their package, she told them that she didn’t know. She stole money, food, blankets and scarves from the packages, and even once a pair of shoes. In order to live there, though, Yoko had to dye her hair red. But the red dye faded and turned orange, making her hair permanently like that.
But word got out that an outlaw was living around that country, with a plentiful bounty on their head. Its information described Yoko perfectly, so Yoko had to do what had to be done. She ran away again, taking a few items. And along the way, had to kill two guards and one villager who tried to capture her.
PERSONALITY;; Being born alone and without anyone to love her, Yoko became distant and cold. She didn’t hate anyone, or like anyone...she only loved herself. She doesn’t understand what it means to hold someone close, or love. Why? You could easily dump all the blame onto her past experiences, which had showed her that humans are selfish creatures and only want, want, want!, and won’t give any kindness unless they get something in return. Though this does sound bitter, it’s for the fact that Yoko can’t trust anyone.
Besides being distant, cold and cannot trust humans, Yoko is very intelligent. She loved to learn as a child, and always read a book, or wrote down her facts on her bedroom wall. She managed to suck in every fact and fiction about the areas she lives in or hides in, and so on. She also loves bugs. Especially fireflies and butterflies, and sometimes moths.
