"I Always Said That I Would Make Mistakes.."

A cloaked figure ran toward the basin. Eyes gleamed from behind the darkness. They were an icy blue and they seemed to be searching.

..Where is he..

Something sparkled from the corners of the eyes. Crystal tears. This person was clearly female in every way. The shape of her body. The shine in her eyes. The voice was the biggest give away. It was sweet yet depressed.

..I can back..I finally came back after all these years..I really did..

This female's dark lips parted as her voice echoed.

"Sasuke..where are you?"

"I'm Only Human!"

^{The loneness seemed to be pulling him deeper into the darkness. Failed attempts to kill that damned brother, but plans always came to mind. It seemed all lost, but how could he give up? Then his thoughts drifted to her, the only one who loved him so much. For who he was, and even his passion for destroying his brother. She was always there, but then she was gone. The sudden breeze brought a chilling sound to his ears as he quickly stood up. "Maemi..." He whispered softly. How could she be here? Was it a dream...Lets find out. "I'm here Maemi..." He called out desperately.}

Maemi's heart skipped a beat at his voice as she too was believing it to be a distant dream. She looked for him as she too cried out.

"Sasuke, Come out so I can see you."

Her deep blue eyes had a new shine to them from the moment she heard his voice. She looked around in the shadows franticly for him as she felt her whole life was falling into place. A piece of it was just found when she heard Sasuke's voice.

She began walking as she still had the cloak hiding her face and her truth. She realized the last time they met she still had her bright hair color, but now she knew he would wonder why she chose black of all colors. It wasn't her choice. It was that demon, who chose the color; she enjoyed it, however.

I want to see him again..see how he's changed from before..I know I'm different from before as well..

[Raku]

His heart began to beat uncontrollably as she walked forward. Following the graceful lyrics from his past friend. He wondered lightly about how she had changed, much like everyone else around him. Hopefully it wouldn't be like his first encounter with Raku, near death. He held his neck lightly, remembering how close he had come to being killed. With a small sigh he could see her clearly. His stride opened until he stood a few feet from his missing part. His heart beat even faster, "Maemi...." His voice came as a soft whisper. The piece of his heart had returned, for when she left half his heart followed.</sup>

Maemi's hands slowly pulled off her own hood as they shook like crazy.

"S-sasuke.."

Her feet wanted her to run toward him and throw her arms around him, but her mind was unable to make that move. She just stood there looked at him with her blue eyes in shock at how much he had changed.

..He's so..different..in looks anyways.

She finally got the strength to move forward as she felt like a line was crossed and there was no turning back. It was like the story of Romeo and Juliet. They could be in love, but society would break them apart if they knew. Like she believed, Raku would.

"What's happened since I left-no never mind that- How have you been?"

Maemi's icy blue eyes had been locked onto him, but they wavered as she lowered her head a bit. The next time she looked up tears were beginning to grow in her eyes as she clasped her hands together.

She couldn't contain herself with conversation. It wasn't going to make this real. She could just be thinking of him too much.

"Please be real. Be real this time."

Maemi's long legs ran her toward him as she put out her hands on his shoulders looking into his eyes. She seemed just a few inches shorter, but that matter not to her.

"You're alive..I'm so-so glad.."

She slid her arms down his shirt as she put her arms under his and locked her own together behind his back as her hands gripped his shirt.

"Say you're real,please. I don't want to be alone anymore, I can't stand it anymore. I just wanted to come back to you..just to you."

Tears ran down her cheeks now as she shook her head a bit as if telling herself not to cry. It was hard not to cry, when you felt as if everything you wanted was before you and you couldn't have any of it.

Sasuke's expression remained calm through the full ordeal. As she finally came to him he wrapped his arms around her. His strong arms pulled her to his chest, holding her tight. "You'll never be alone again. I'm here now Maemi, like I always should have been." He whispered while resting his chin on the top of her head. Holding her gently he pulled her softly away. Looking into her azure eyes, his own onyx pair melting in her gaze. "Have you looked after my heart? I left it with you.." He whispered softly.

..Never Alone..again..I wish those words could be forever true...my one and only..

Maemi's bright azure eyes sparkled as she looked at him. She didn't let go however and feeling his arms around her. It was like Heaven had come to find her, and for once in her life she believe in a place of perfection. A place worth spending time dealing with the pain and hurt that had built within her glass heart.

She was unsure how to respond to his wondrous words of romance, but she swallowed down the one thing within her that wouldn't let her speak to him. She still after all this time believe his heart had still belonged to Raku, who was her closest friend, she would never betray her friend even to gain her own happiness or lose it.

"If it's with me, then I kept it close to where mine should have been, Sas-Sasuke.."

It felt so wonderful speaking his name besides in her dreams, but she quickly clinched tighter. This was when he disappeared into the darkness and the laughter of death echoed around her as "they" came for her broken soul.

..How can this be real..

[Raku]

^{Sasuke chuckled lightly, and brought his own face closer to hers. "Then you have taken good care of it." He spoke with a smooth velvet tone. His arms brought her close again as he leaned down to her ear. "I'll prove it's really me..." He whispered huskily. Pulling her gently away he looked back into her eyes and sighed. His arms wrapped around her waist as he leaned to her face. His onyx eyes still locked in the trance of her eyes. " You are the only one who has ever touched my heart. It will always be yours, my only love." He whispered before softly kissing her forehead.}

Maemi was full of shock and confusion last time they had met he was crazy about Raku now she was his only one, it didn't make sense, but as she was once told love doesn't make sense.

"Sasuke.."

When he had started whispering to her, it felt like the academy all over again when she would just watch him or draw his actions because she was far too shy to tell him of her feelings.

..I want to confess but..I..you might get hurt..if I do..

She seemed to want to faint when he gently kissed her. It reminded her of when he brought her from that trance long ago. She closed her eyes and seemed to wait for him to continue to kiss her this time on the lips.

[Raku]

^{Sasuke laughed lightly, amazed that she seemed so stiff. This was different. Not the same as he'd acted before, when Raku was his love. Yet, over the years it showed itself. Maemi was the one he cared for more, not matter what had happened. His onyx eyes glanced around before he looked back into her eyes. His emotions the same, as he expression. Letting a small smirk slide onto his face as he slowly leaned in closer. Kissing her gently on the lips, but pulling back in a few moments. His breath was a bit uneven, as he pulled her to his chest once more. "Maemi.... His velvet voice chimed in the dim light.}

When he had kissed her, part of her really didn't want it to be so brief, but she was still afraid of this all being fake, or him really being an enemy.

As he held her closely once more, she too put her arms around him. She let her head touch against his chest as she closed her eyes slightly. She hadn't realized how weak her body had gotten from all of this traveling, but at that moment, the weakness seemed to double. It was hard to keep her footing for a moment, but she stood her ground.

..How long have I been searching for him..and..why me? Of everyone why me to be his lover? Every girl at the academy would die for just a moment like this with him..

Tears once more began to cloud her bright eyes even though they never lost the shine.

"Sasuke, why do you talk to me this way? I never remembered this, and why me? Even if it's true, why me of everyone else in the village, why chose me? How could I be your only love?"

It was clear to tell that her self-esteem hadn't increased that much or maybe she was just afraid of it all being a dream still and waking up on the ground somewhere from over working herself. She still let the tears fall down her cheeks not shaking them away anymore. She just cried.

[Raku]

^{Sasuke looked down at Maemi and sighed lightly. The explanation had been confusing to himself, but hopefully it would make sense. "Over the years, I realized that every time something would happen to you I was so worried. Not just like a friend would worry. I always thought about you, safety and all. " He spoke in a soothing whisper. He let go of her, and steeped back for a moment. Afraid that maybe her feelings weren't the same. The moon's light glimmered down from between a few trees, illuminating the spot they were standing.}

She had felt him pull back and let go. She had always let go before, so why should it change now. Her azure eyes still held tears as she closed her eyes letting them fall down her cheeks. Her skin seemed to glow softly in the moonlight as she swallowed hard.

"Sasuke, It's hard to believe that it's real. It's so hard."

Maemi's hands came to her face as she covered it from him. Tears were weakness and her heart was weak. He had broken her heart when they were younger when she saw him in the woods kissing Raku.

"You can say those words. You can hold me, and kiss me, but-but.."

She moved her hands as her eyes seemed to shine differently now with the moonlight on them.

"I've always cared about you, ever since we met. I never believed that you would..I'm just ranting now..Forgive me."

Maemi's knees seemed to bend slightly as she regained a standing position quickly. She shook the tears away as she walked toward him.

"You're the only reason, I chose to go on living. The truth is.."

She put her hands around the necklace that shined in the moonlight as she bit her lip for a moment.

"I just wanted to be with you..I've never cared about anyone else as much as you, and I would gladly die right now if it would allow you to live or be happy."

Maemi was unsure if she had chosen the right words, but she hoped that she had. The truth was no matter how she said it everything came down to one thing. And her thoughts spoke those words..

Sasuke..I love you and I would die without you..

[Raku]

^{Sasuke's hand reached out, brushing a tear from Maemi's face. His smile shined in the light as he listened intently to her every word. A light chuckle ringing like bells came from his vocals, "If you died, I'd find a way to kill myself. I couldn't live another moment without you." His onyx eyes blended with the darkness. He reached out, placing a soft hand on her shoulder. "It seems we both would even kill ourselves to make the other happy if intended to. Obviously you still can't believe I'm here...What would it take Maemi?" He asked in a husky tone. Words seemed like nothing for now. All he cared was that she was here, with him and no one else.}

Maemi was shocked by him wiping away her tears as she had a distant look in her eyes. She suddenly looked up at him as if about to speak, but something took her over as she pulled off her gloved hand. Her silver nails showed now as she looked at him and lightly touched his cheek.

She ran her hand down it smoothly as she stood up on the tips of her toes.

"I have no idea, I just know that you're more romantic then ever, Sasuke."

Her eyes had a beautiful shine in them, but an odd amethyst look to them as she let her finger tips fall over his shoulder. She gripped it lightly and put her other arm around his neck reaching up at him slowly.

"How about another kiss?"

She giggled a bit looking at him with a few tears still at the corners of her eyes as she smile a bit at him.

..If this is him..and he really loves me..then..I don't care about dieing anymore..because..I've already found heaven..so I must be dead already..

Maemi's eyes locked onto his as she leaned closer to him, and avoided kissing him, however, she hugged him tightly.

"Where could we go? I don't know if they'll let me back in the village. I was gone for four years, and you don't look like you've been there. You're headband is gone."

She had a more caring look in her eyes as she pulled back still holding onto him.
