Elizabeth's emerald eyes glanced toward the sign. She knew that to complete the human life, she needed a job. The head master wasn't going to sent her any more money to spend tracking vampires. The money was for house payments and nothing more. She knew that much for sure.
"Here we go," she muttered as she began to walk toward the door and into the bakery. The sweet smell of cakes and cookies filled her nasal cavities as she remembered the lack of food she had in the passed day.
I've spent too much time trying to track vampires that I forgot to get something to eat. Another false trail leads me half way to Arizona on a flying broom and then I realize it's some kid in a costume trying it on early. The kid just happened to be near a deer that was hit by a car, so it looked like he was finished eating it. Plus those stupid black contacts, I hate kids. I hate Halloween. She thought with a sigh.
She stepped toward the front desk. "Excuse me. I saw your sign and was hoping for an application." Elizabeth was so polite with her words as she smiled.

Eryn laughed, snapping her finger covered in flour. "You seem to be out of it!"Juliet snapped out of her gaze as soon as Eryn's finger snapped, and she shook her head rapidly, sending locks of straight, bleach blond hair in different directions. "Oh! I'm just...just thinking..." she said, shrugging as she set her school bag at the corner of the room, behind the counter just in case. Juliet heard her mother laugh again, and Juliet's face was pink as she fixed her apron on herself. The door's little silver bell rang as Eryn went inside the kitchen to pull the cake out of the oven and put the icing on it and further directions. Juliet grimaced as she knew Eryn was leaving Juliet to deal with the customer. Juliet exhaled as spun on her heels and tried to look busy with the dough Eryn left. "Excuse me. I saw your sign and was hoping for an application."Juliet's odd colored eyes flickered up to Elizabeth's pale face. She could feel a sudden explosion in the pit of her stomach as she blinked a few times. "What sign?" she asked the girl in pure astonishment. "What application?" Juliet's eyes quickly jumped to the glass windows, the back of a white sign posted on the building. She grimaced as she inclined her head to the door and peered through the window where Eryn was grinning back at her. Thanks for the memo, mom! Juliet hissed in her mind as she wiped her hands on her hips. "Uh, sorry. Eryn didn't...still doesn't tell me anything that happens here. I feel sort of lost, you know?" Juliet said, laughing in a jolly tune as she turned her back to Elizabeth and searched the counter [the one that had stacks of clean paper, untouched by flour, sugar, icing, etc.] and scrambled to find the applications. "Now...where did those applications go..?"[/ul]

Elizabeth watched as this woman looked for the applications. She had a strange feeling surge through her body as she glanced toward the window. Her eyes caught a crystal blue as they widened. It only took a blind for the figure to disappear along with those eyes that allowed her heart to stop beating for a moment.
Who was that? Those eyes..so..similar.. "Elizabeth, that's your name isn't it little one? I'll take you home, and then take care of everything." Her thoughts and the memory has mixed together as she lost all control of her body. She realized that her foot had taken a step toward the door, but the quickly snapped back toward Juliet.
Back to the topic.. She tried to think, but the sound of a song spun into her mind. "Bury It. I Won't Let You Bury It. I Won't Let You Smother It. I Won't Let You Murder It." The lyrics flowed as if from her music player, and that's when she realized that the volume had turned up when she jerked toward the window.
Her pale hand reached into her pocket turning the ipod off quickly as she pulled the earphones out slipping them into her pocket before Juliet could see her.
"Um, do you need any help finding them, Miss?" She spoke trying to be polite.

"Oh, no no no!" she assured Elizabeth with a small air-push with her palms. She turned her back to Elizabeth and started to finger through the sheets, hoping to find it as soon as possible. Without any sort of eye contact, Juliet babbled on. "This would be part of my job, to help you get an application for your job, and if I can't find your application I would be bad at my job, and you might just replace me and make it your job.""Ah, shoot!" Juliet gasped, dropping a stack of stapled papers onto the tiled floor. She wiped her hands on her plaid, red and black, mini-skirt that matched her black shirt with the silver printed letters "Pink". Though if a black-haired, pale girl like Elizabeth wore this, especially with Juliet's black boots, she would have been called a goth, or a punk, or an emotional or something of the sort. But with bleachy blond hair and odd colored eyes like Juliet...people avoiding pointing her outfit out when they could blink at her natural oddities. As Juliet bent down carefully for the forms, she noticed some loose icing was smeared across the name part of the application sheet. Juliet's face turned slightly petal pink as she handed Elizabeth the sheet. "Sorry, I hope you like icing...on your name." And with a playful smile printed on her toned face, Juliet quickly swiped her finger and got only a bit of the loose icing off of the sheet, and popped it in her mouth. "Mm...chocolate!"[/ul]

Elizabeth blinked mindlessly at the application with the chocolate icing smeared cross where her horrible hand writing would fall. She shrugged it off a bit and then glanced toward Juliet. She couldn't help, but be in awe by the beauty this witch held, however, the look of astonishment faded slowly as she turned her head toward the fresh cakes.
"I hope I'm good at this. I really need a job so I can start adding more to my college fund." She spoke the words with a slight smirk as if wondering why she felt the need to lie. She was going to use any money she had for new equipment to hunt vampires. College was out of the question for her, even if she was intelligent.
She glanced toward Juliet already embarrassed now. She had no idea if she was supposed to fill it out right now to take it home. Either way she would try her best. She needed something to get her mind off of vampires and mythical killing sprees that swept the country every once in a while.
Her emerald eyes swept over the application as if waiting for Juliet to give her farther orders.

Juliet said, dancing back to her spot where she was once playing with the powder-sugary sweet dough. "This is a great way to earn money. You'll be making such good food here that you'll forget your actually getting paid. Trust me, I get half of what is a usual employee's salary, and I still love it here." Wiping her hands first on her apron, she delicately started to kneed the dough with a warm smile on her face. It wasn't that Juliet was trying so hard to make herself look beautiful or graceful as she worked, but she knew how important and strong first impressions can be, and she wanted to make sure her soon-to-be new coworker liked her and didn't want to mess with Juliet like the other workers have when they saw the bleach-blond, green and blue eyed girl who usually would burn everything that went into the oven. And now that every worker quit or got fired by Eryn, Juliet looked forward for someone else in the kitchen besides the Pepperbell Team. Feeling something click in the back of her head, Juliet blew some flour off of her hands and turned around to face the girl who looked absolutely dumbfounded. Like a balloon rising and being filled with helium, Juliet's face turned a delightful shade of pink. She scrambled back to the clean counter, and pulled out a beautiful silver mechanical pencil out of the small magnetic pencil holder. She hurried and handed the girl the pencil with an embarrassed frown. "Ah, sorry miss. Though it's usually accustomed to take home applications and such, our applications only need basic information and you'd be all set." Juliet shrugged a little. "Unless, of course, you do want to go home and fill it out. That's also fine."[/ul]

Elizabeth smiled and nodded. She began working on the application with the pen she had been given. Those eyes.. She thought as she wrote her name on the paper in print over the smugged chocolate icing. She saw the beautiful blue eyes that had locked into hers only moments ago in her head. She was trying to think of when those eyes had looked at her before. They were so familiar to her yet so new, so wonderful.
"I'll be waiting, princess." The voice within her head whispered. She could see a figure of a man beside her. She could almost feel the chill of his breath in her ear. She knew the voice. She heard it. She knew the eyes. She gazed at them.
She continued filling out the application to the final part. "Contact information," She whispered to herself thinking. She then realized that her family didn't exist. It was fake, so she wrote down her cell phone number, and home phone as the only information.
Elizabeth brought herself to stand up from the table she had completed her work on and walked to the counter. "Here, Miss. I'm sorry I didn't have more for the contact information. My parents are out of country right now, so I doubt they'd be any help." She turned then and spoke once more, "I really need a job, but if you don't need someone like me, that's fine. I know I can find a job some where."
She walked out of the bakery into the rain and out of view. Then she broke off into a sprint. She was running blindly as her ipod whispered lyrics in her ears.
My hands are searching for you. My arms are out stretched toward you. The song whispered to her as she ran around the corner. People were jumping out of her way and for some reason tears were flowing down from her eyes. She had realized that no one in this world cared for her.
I can feel you all around me. Thickening the air I'm breathing. Holding Onto What I'm Feeling. Savoring this heart that's healing. She heard the words of others, but drowned them out with her music. Then suddenly, the sound of a horn shook her. She turned to see the bright lights coming toward her.
"Watch Out!" A voice called.
Suddenly arms wrapped around her, the rain was beating against her skin where she had forgotten her jacket in the bakery. Her eyes widened as they locked into his.
Take My Hand! I give it to you! Now you owe me all I am! Those lyrics screamed from the earphones that hung away from her. She was in his arms as he held her away from him slightly.
"Can you hear me?" His angelic voice asked hotly. His icy blue eyes looked toward her as she seemed to melt in embarrassment. "Elizabeth.." He muttered lifting her up and walking away.
She was half alive- and half in heaven. Her thoughts were swirling around and turning into mush. That was the same voice she could hear. That was the same man. The same eyes. The same person she knew. And the most frightening thing was..he looked the same.
You're that girl. The one I saved when they killed Kathlyn. How did you get in Forks, Washington? You were in Ireland when Kathlyn was killed, now you're in the United States. Where you looking for me? Was that is? He thought with a smile. He leaned down slightly holding her against his chest. "Rest now. We can talk when you wake up," He whispered. He was controlling himself well. It was a great deed to have hunted the day before. He was saving himself and her. A double win.
))Dramatic! Yes, I know, but since no one else is posting. I had to make them meet!((
