Underneath The Night Sky, She Cries..

A figure ran toward the tree in the pouring rain. Hands softly gripped it as panting echoed. Laughing followed as a jacket hit against the ground. Sandals were slipped off and bare feet ran across the grass.

A vest hit the tree, a pair of shorts then an over shirt. Laughing continued to echo until the figure was seen clearly. Her skin was dripping from the rain and she was in a sleek dress that was clinging to her smooth skin. Her long deep brown hair was soaked and she continued smiling and spun around quickly.

Majestic teal eyes looked at the stars as she slowly let tears fill her eyes. Her lips still held a smile as it began to fade.

"Konoka! Make a wish!" "Why? You make one!" "Fine, I wish I had a good boyfriend! One who would never hurt me!" "Yeah! But you shouldn't have said it out loud, Setsuna." "Why? Will it backfire or something?" "Nothing bad happens to you, Set-chan!"

Konoka smiled as the tears ran down her face.

"I remember that perfume you wore that night when I hugged you before you left and met him. That person..I told you nothing bad happens..and I was so foolish.."

[Zhou]

Vinny sat on his limb smiling at Konoka below, "I feel bad about...stalking her but with what happened 2 years ago I don't have the guts to tell her anything anymore." He said looking way with an embarrassed smile. "She is so beautiful after two years, I am amazed at what can happen in that period of time."

[konoka]

Konoka stopped moving. She had heard his voice and his breathing, so she turned and looked up into the tree.

Her tears looked like they were nothing but the rain.

"Who's there?"

Her voice was soft, yet dark and daring. Her voice was daring him to try something as her hands balled into fist. She seemed to growl a bit as her eyes searched for him, but fatigue had been getting to her, so chakra wouldn't come to her easily.

"Answer me, or I will strike you down with my taijutsu."

She was fibbing, but whoever this was didn't need to know that. She didn't look tired, but her heart was about to burst from her chest with all the panting she was holding back from doing.

"Hello!" Vinny said hanging from his limb by his hands with a big grin and slight blush..."How are you doing he said dropping down aqnd walking toward the girl, "Don't worry I'm a friend...remember...Vinny?" He said waving in a friendly gesture. "Oh, and you're in no place to throw threats, Konoka..." Vinny continued walking toward her with a serious look on his face.

A slight smirk crossed her lips as she let her arms fall.

"Me? In no place for threats, want me to show you that I can kick you to the Mist Village?"

She had the rain dripping down from her hair and her skin. It continued falling on them as she sighed a bit shrugging a bit.

"Are you stalking me or something?"

Konoka began laughing as she jumped back and twirled around in the rain and her short dress spun in the air a bit with her. If he was a pervert, he would have seen a glimpse of her underwear, and then he would really get smacked around by her.

She turned back toward him as her dress fell down just below her thighs. Her eyes were shining as she smirked a bit.

"Why are you out here, you aren't really following me around?"

"Now...c'mon, that doesn't seem to be fair to all the other girls now does it?" Vinny said smiling. He did see her underwear but didn't really care about it, "Oh and I might be stalking you, heh." Vinny continued with a grin. "So how have you been in the last two years?" He said putting his spear back on his back.

[konoka]

She then sighed a bit losing all happiness.

"Yeah..I guess."

Konoka walked forward and passed him picking up her shorts and slipping them on tucking her over-sized shirt in and pulled her black shirt over the white one. She zipped her vest up on her chest and then put on her sandals.

"How have I been? I don't know really..I know things haven't been good..at least for me.."

She picked up the headband near her jacket and looked at it.

"How have things been here? Is that girl Raku still alright and those other people I met at the ramen bar?"

It was clear to see that she really cared for once. Caring was something she wasn't avoiding anymore. Two years had changed that.

[Zhou]

"Yeah, she's ok, and so is Deidara...they're supposedly engaged..." Vinny said sighing. "Things don't seem to be to good...but yeah..." Vinny continued looking at Konoka and sitting down, "AH! I just remembered it's wet!" Vinny said looking at his pants with chibi-like tears in his eyes.

((You know, the kind of tears when they look like light blue bars going down the person's face.))

She looked at him as if saying he was an idiot.

"Yeah, how'd you learn that Einstein? Next you'll learn that the sun is hot."

Her eyes then became dull once more. Her thoughts were still flooded with Setsuna, but she was trying to smile. It was hard for her though.

"Sorry..I'm not good at this am I? Smiling isn't my strength."

Her dull eyes were looking toward her sandals as she covered her face a bit.

"I don't even know what I'm doing here!"

She shook her head a bit as she backed up a bit hitting the tree with her back.

"I don't know."

[Zhou]

"That things called the sun?" Vinny said laughing, "Since when?"
"Well," he said smiling at her while trying to dry his pants off, "Yeah, your not good with the smiling thing are you? Don't you know, every star in the sky is someone smiling down from wherever is up there, so smile, everyone else is smiling down at you!" Vinny said pointing toward the sky with a grin, "Yeah, my parents are somewhere in the bazillion stars up there, hopefully."

[konoka]

She shook her head. That was the line.

"The stars aren't people, so don't fool me with that! I know that those are the souls of those murdered! They're the lost ones!"

Her eyes were dark as she spoke.

"His soul is up there! I made sure of that!"

Then her eyes widened as she covered her mouth. Her heart started pounding in her chest as she glanced around.

Dear God..I just confessed.

She threw her hand back and gripped into the tree leaving nail marks in it. Her heart was beating so fast, she felt it would burst out of her chest.

[Zhou]

"Calm down Konoka...it's alright...people have different perspectives...but yeah...whoever you're talking about...he probably is..." Vinny said sighing. He walked over to Konoka and looked to her with a smile, "c'mon you need something to cheer you up, come with me, we'll go hve some fun..." He said smiling

((No, not THAT kind of fun))

He's lieing..Don't listen to him, Konoka..don't do it! He just wants to turn you in..

She quickly moved her hand in a swift motion and next thing there was a kunai to his neck.

"You'll just turn me in or that undiscovered murder won't you?"

Her eyes were dark and held an evil aura as she hissed like a snake a bit.

"No one will take me to prison for that fool. He deserved to die! He killed Setsuna Kaede!"

Konoka glared at him in hatred and disgust as she growled.

[Zhou]

"Now...why would I do that? I like you to much to do that, seriously." Vinny said staring at her in disbelief. "I can't believe you'd ever think that...it's just not me...have you been getting the wrong image of me?" Vinny asked walking toward Konoka.

[konoka]

Konoka's eyes widened as he began walking closer. Her mind flashed images.

"Come here cutie." "Konoka! Run!" "Come on, things will be fine." "Stay away from Konoka!"

She was shaking as that night flashed into her mind. Her best friend couldn't get those supposed Jounin away from them. She couldn't think straight at all that night. The man just kept coming closer until Setsuna got free from the others and kicked him in the face with her spiked heels, which left a huge hole in his cheek.

"Vincent, what's it like..to be free."

She looked into his eyes as she walked forward. She had broken free from her spell as she put her hand on his shoulder and looked at him.

"Is it really worth it?"

She was talking non-sense now.
